2. Fee's - It is the fees which is virtually there everywhere is what I have learned about the online service industry. I've paid thousands of dollars before for simple web designs to be completely and utterly disappointed, At the same time, by paying a couple of hundred dollars I got work of thousand dollars. My advice to you is to look at the fees but always think about negotiation. Every web design company wants new customers and will work to please you.


3. Turnaround time - Turnaround time is a factor that you should look at right away. The average time I've seen for web design projects is around 7-25 days. I've seen some companies quote ridiculous turnaround times of five to six months or more! I'm sorry, But after five or six months it's hard to keep motivated to still complete the project when the web design is done. I highly recommend only doing business with companies that can complete your web design in less than thirty days. A certification that the job of your design would be completed in a month or less is better to be had.


4. Customer Support - You should be able to express whether you are pleased or not with the web design company. Ask them what their policy is on checking status of work as well as revisions after the work has been completed. If the web design company refuses to allow limited revisions after the work has been completed then I recommend going elsewhere.


Often times, the customer and web design company must work together as a team to create the vision the customer has drawn in their head. Keep in mind, most web design companies are nice and they will help you at every stage, But there will be bad ones also and you should be cautious in selection the right company initially.
